The Beginning...........

FCH Dutchess
with Betty & Hank
|
Rebel Rouser
Vizslas began in 1963 with the purchase of an outstanding bitch named Dutchess.
Although we weren't sure how to train at that point, she was entered in the 1964
Vizsla Club of America national field trials. Dutchess was entered in both the
puppy stake and the derby stake, for dogs under two years of age. And in spite
of not knowing the first thing about "real" training methods, she won
both stakes. Dutchess went on to win the national derby stake three times, a
record that has not been duplicated to our knowledge. She then became one of the
first female Vizsla field champions and the beginning of our breeding program.
To continually strive to
breed better Vizslas, dogs that are within the standard of the breed but
with stronger natural instincts to point, retrieve, back and hunt. We
want to breed dogs that can succeed in the field and who are enjoyable
to have in your home. We want to breed the type of dog that new owners
can succeed with and live with. Rebel Rouser Vizslas are successful in
the field and in the show ring.
